BCM 300 or future

It's been a while since I have heard anything about the new / next release of BCM. At one time Nortel had said they were introducing the BCM300 but that was canned in January. Does anyone know anything at this point ?

From what I've heard the BCM will still be around, at least in the 200/400/50 packages for the time being. 1000 based hardware, the 3 slot chassis, won't be supported after 12/31/07 and can only be upgraded to release 4.0. Tne new SMB direction is SCS, Software Communications Server. Seems to be a Cisco Call Manager type of device, all software based running on a server.

i too remember reading about that in one of those e-newsletters - BCM300 is canned and focus is on scs
