Hi, I heard somewhere that you can increase the power of your battery for your laptop by "Zapping" it, I cannot find any info on the net to advise of this. Please help.

Never heard of zapping a laptop's battery to prolong its life, but you can stretch things out by running the laptop until the battery is fully discharged before recharging it.
