Hi everyone. I hope someone can help me :)

I need to creat a batch file, to use in a scheduled task, that will copy either the History file or the Temporary Internet Files folder to another folder on C drive. I also want this task to run in the background so it won't be noticed by the user. I'm having trouble with actually copying anything out of either of these folders.

Thanks :)

Hi , I hope this can help you go here and try any of the free and cheap ware to solve your problem

there are also keyboard lockouts and pass word lockouts available for many situations.
I might mention here that no matter the software it is very very hard to erase every thing you have typed into your computer.
Evidence eliminator claims their soft ware can eliminate all of it, I doubt they really can. so unless your person is very knowledgeable they can't.
in any case see if these programs can help you. :)

Hey, thanks everyone, for all of your suggestions. I got laid off today, so won't be worrying about this one anymore, but will keep your suggestions in my bag-o-tricks. If anyone happens to know of an opening in the Fort Worth area..........

Sorry to hear that. Hope you find something better, now.

While you're looking you can hone your skills by helping 'round here...in an area that large (Dallas/Ft. Worth) you shouldn't have trouble finding a BETTER job.
Good luck

Good idea, gargouille. I think I will.

I'm also taking a C++ class that I will be able to spend a little more time working on. Yes, a BETTER job is exactly what I'm after :)

This might help. It reads through the index.dat file which doesn't get cleared when the user dumps history and temp files. You can save the search results and clear
the index.dat file after each scan.

I use Spider v1.6
Here is the link

I suggest you get the covert software "Red Hand," which will give you a detailed report on every move made on your computer. It cannot be seen by the user. It is very, very good at keeping a record of computer use, including the internet.
