Howdy all,

Looking to know who might be a good source of information concerning Basic ACD reporting for the Nortel 81C. Just a heads up. We have the packages.. and the TTY set up.. Hooking up to a laptop Com 1 with a Null Model I can See the OVL prompts on the screen.

The Trick is to get it to a printer that is in another room.

So our goal was to use a Inmac connector (25 Pin variant serial to phone RJ-11) from the Null Modem to the PBX Frame (Bix Blox) have it go up to a jack and from RJ-11 back to a Inmac connect then to the printer via its serial hook up.

I need to know if there is a set wiring method for these Inmac connectors. Using the default wiring setups given to me doesn’t net a proper connection. I get Jibber on the HyperTerm On the Bix Frame I am using 2 pairs to make the proper serial path.

Any one able to assist?

Let me know if there a question you need answered..

I did this at my last job, but unfortunately, I don't have that set up here, so I cannot give you the pinout. Then I came across a programmer that wrote a GUI interface for the reports, and we pushed them out to a network folder where all the different groups could get the respective data. We cabled the TTY port from the PBX to a server in an adjacent room, and set up the folder on the network. Again, it will work, you just need to play around with it. I will see if I can track down some info on that for you.

Eddie,

Hmm that sounds like a ncie option too... We have a server very close to the PBX. Will use that as a small second option.

Not fimiliar with your Inmac connector, but maybe the pinouts on this db9 post may shed some light?
