Is it possible to have crystal reports return a customer id from a scanned barcode from a piece of paper. I have a piece of paper with a generic barcode translating into a number 1. I have a crystal report with a customer id 1. could i make it refresh the db and return this customer after a barcode was scanned?

I've never tried it, but maybe the barcode reader could scan the bar code in response to a Crystal Reports prompt for Customer Id. Give it a try. I know Crystal reports can print bar codes simply by printing a field using a bar code font.
