Barcode Printer DLL's vs Fonts ?

Hi;

I've been looking at printing barcodes from VFP report and label forms. TAL has Active X and DLL drivers available, but info only on using them from VB or C++. I am somewhat convinced that their DLL or Active X solution is better than trying to use Fonts, as I have no control over what printers will be used to print the codes. VFP 6 does not allow me to use Active X objects in report forms, and I'm not sure how to use a DLL to accomplish the printing. Does VFP 7 allow the Active X objects to be used? Or, can anyone tell me how to use TAL's DLL to print my codes via label or report forms?
