I am using CR10 and having problems with the Y-Axis in a bar chart. the bar chart can contain values ranging from 1 to N. When the values are relatively high (10 or greater), the Y-Axis gridlines look great. When the values are small, the gridlines contain decimal places (e.g. .5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, etc...), which makes no sense at all for this data.

I have tried to change the gridlines setting in the grids option, but it hasn't fixed my problem.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,

joe

Hi there,

Just a thought but when you've made the changes to the chart have you right clicked on the chart and selected save as template? Or are you having trouble making the chart pick up the new changes?

Thanks for the reply. I have not saved the report as a template. i created the report and when i run it on different data sets the Y-Axis contains decimal places only if the data set has a small range.

Thats a bit strange, are the numbers in your dataset formated to 1 decimal place or are they formated to be a whole number?

i thought it was a bit strange too!!! the numbers in the SQL recordset are of the type int, so they have no decimal place.
