I scan my pc and the result, I saw some bad sector. My question is, is it possible to get rid of those bad sector. I heard something like low level format or zero fill format. I am using win 98.

Secondly is about the server. my server is running on Win 2000 pro. How do perform system scan? Where is it located?

Thanks.

How much was reported as being bad sectors?

It's normal to get bad sectors now and then, and 30KB is not that big.
Also, ScanDisk will mark the bad areas so that they are not written to again.
However, if they become more frequent and/or larger, then it may be time to back up all critical data and install a new drive.
