Hello...

I am having a major photo problem. I can't seem to get sharp images in Quark Express 6.5 They look beautiful in Photoshop, but come out grainy in a Quark picture box, pretty low res. I have used the low to high resolution settings, but they get solarized when i do that!

Can someone help me please? Thanx!

Where are you using 'low to high resolution settings'?

Is the graininess on screen, in print, or both?

Hi Jimoblak!

Thanx for the response!

The graininess is on screen and in print. I used the low to high res setting thinking things would change but it would just solarize. When I do a get picture, any picture I get, comes in grainy. But when that same picture opens up in photoshop, it is sharp and clear.

WHERE are you using 'low to high resolution settings'? What program? In the display settings? In the VistaXT? In the print dialog?

I am using low resolutin in the quark program itself. By going to Item then Preview resolution

What is the resolution in Photoshop of the photos you're using and what format and color space are you using for the photos?

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4

IN the print dialog, select "Full Res TIFF"
Also make sure the photo is not placed at a percentage over 130%.
and the photo should be 300 ppi.
g'luck
