Hi,

Are Crystal Reports 8.5 usable in v10? I've see information regarding moving from 9 to 10, but nothing about 8.5 to 10.[sadeyes]

I'm using both CE 8.5 and CR 8.5. More than likely I will be upgrading towards summertime and wanted to know what I'm likely to face.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

You should be fine.

The problems I've experienced and heard about are connectivity related, and not many of those.

Thanks [bigsmile] I just don't want to have to re-write hundreds of custom reports . . .

Melissa,

You were right to ask, but you don't need to be concerned. If we were unable to use old reports in a new version, none of us would ever buy a new version. (Moving reports created n a new version back to an old version is another matter.)

Thanks for the great news! What about CE v10 - can I migrate my users, previous instances, etc. to v10 or do I need to start fresh there?

Everything will be fine, just some data direct drivers have changed or not longer available..

What is your data source? In the move from CR 8.5 to 9, support for some data sources has been dropped. For example, Crystal 9 doesn't work with Oracle versions
below Oracle 7.3.4

- Ido

CUT, Visual CUT, and DataLink Viewer:
view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.

These are the drivers for my data sources:

Oracle Drivers are 8.01.07.00
SQL Drivers are 2000.85.1025.00
Microsoft ODBC for Oracle 2.575.1022.00
Microsoft Access Driver 4.00.6019.00

Thanks All for your help :)
