Backup wrong slot with autoloader

Hi All;
I have HP Surestore DAt 40x6 .I input Tape A into Slot1 and Tape B into slot 2.
I have 2 Job Scheduled, 1st job backup 9 pm and 2nd job backup 5 pm,It backup always 1st job backup on slot1 and 2nd job backup on slot2.Yesterday I have problem cause 1st job backup on slot2 and 2nd job backup on slot1.

Who have any ideas to solve this problem.

if you want to force it to use a particular slot all the time, you will need to setup partitions on autoloader.
Then direct each job to the partition you want.

(I use veritas V.8.6)
I did but same result.In fact its should backup on slot1 but backup slot2 before slot1.

the overwrite protection period still counts in partitions.

So in your 2 slots - if the tape in slot 2 has an allocated date earlier than the one in slot 1, and they are both overwritable, it will use Slot 2 first.

yse, slot 2 has an allocated date earliier,now i set new try set new Scheduled.
