Hi all, need advices from all soon.

I have a backup server, running BrightStor ARCserve Backup R11, in one segment 197.x.x.x. And a server in this segment to be backup too.

And there are remote servers, which in another segment 193.x.x.x. to be backup. There will be 2 Orcale Servers.

I have a Firewall in between these 2 segments. I able to ping from 197.x.x.x to 193.x.x.x.

And I did get the following ports that need to be open :

1) TCP and UDP Port 6050 (ARCserveNT Agent)
2) TCP Port 6071 (Orcale Agent)
3) TCP and UDP Port 41523/ 41524 (ARCserve Discovery Services)

Please advice me are there the correct ports to open in the firewall and is there any ports that need to be open.

Millon of thnaks

Thanks and Regards

Hi David, thanks for ur reply.

B'cos this is my 1st attempt to BrightStor Arcserve Backup thru Firewall between 2 different segments.

And worry that it won't work though I have opened the following ports. My upper management will question me. :(

Thanks and Regards
