I have a servers farm (50 NT and 4 Unix servers)using with arcserver for backup software. I need to find a harware solution that will work with this. Does anyone know of or can recommend a hardware solution for my setup? no more tape or dlt please.

How much data are you backing up each night?

Personally I'd dedicate a server to do the backups and have it on a subnet along with putting a second NIC in each server also on this subnet (so the backup traffic has a dedicated network). Then connect a tape library to the backup server, what library depends on the volume of data really and the size of backup window you have - you may need a multi-head model. Personally I'd go for an LTO2 version.

But if you really mean no tape then there's not much of a solution available - tape is superior to most optical disk solutions and the only other alternative is fat links to an off-site data company that you transfer the backup data to each night.
