Hello All! We have been using Backeup Exec for some years now (Vers 7.3). We originally bought it to back up out Novell 5 server, but are upgrading that server to an MS OS. We have 5 servers (3 app and 2 file servers). Is there a less expensive backup solution out there than the Veritas product? Since we will be going to Exchange for email (currently using Pegasus with Mercury), do we need the Veritas upgrade or is there a better product out there?

Compared to some other backup solutions I think that Veritas Backup Exec is quite a reasonable priced solution.
If you are going to backup exchange you will need the exchange agent (& the remote agent).
You could always use NT Backup its free, but then again you only get what you pay for.
