i have created a 6 week backup rotation with a full backup on friday (eg. tape: "fr 5" for week 5) and monday - thursday differential (eg. tape "mo-th 6" for week 6). i have 42 days overwrite protection and for the full backup 3 days append time. for the differential 6 days append. now, last friday the full backup works fine. on monday the backup exec want the tape "mo-do 2" tape but "mo-do 6" is the right tape and is under "scrachted media". i have stopped, because the backup says "loading media...."mo-do 2"..", and after i have start the backup and it writes now to the actual tape. i have deleted all tapes, catalogs and job definitions in the programm and starts with a new rotation with new tapes, but i have all week the same problem.
