Backup Operation Failed

Hello,

I am running ArcservIT 6.61 Advanced on NT Server 4 with current service pack.

I am getting Backup Operation Failed at the conclusion of my job.
However, in the log there are now errors listed. According to the Log File the backup operation was successful in backing everything scheduled. For instance, there are no yellow or red icons anywhere indicating errors or warnings.

Why am I still getting this Backup Operation Failed message despite apparent success?

I performed the following tasks as directed by CA_Tech Support:
apply SP2a to arcserve
- check if agent started & SP2a applied to the Client agent
- check the event log from both sides
- check doc:

In addition, I was instructed to:

Please go to the Services in your NT/2000 System and check if the
Backup Agent for Open Files Service is running.

If it is running, stop it and restart it and try backup.

I attempted this but I cannot start this service. Could this be causing the Failure message? How can I get this started or do I really need it to be running if now one is accessing files during the backup?

I know this is fairly lengthy. Thanks for any help.

If you cant start the service at all, uninstall the open file agent and re-install. Apply any relevant patched and give that another go.
