Hi

If I shutdown networker and do a:

tar cvf nw_server.tar /$networker_install_dir

Can I copy this file somewhere, mess with the server configs (Mainly jbconfig), and then bring the server back simply by untarring? Am I missing anything?

RTFM Disaster Recovery Guide available in the legato site.

Basically, you don't need to do that. Each time NW backup something of itself, the bootstrap going to be backed up, so if you have a disaster in the NW server you just install networker and recover the bootstrap. It includes the /nsr/mm and /nsr/res folders. /nsr/res is where all configurations are stores, including jbconfig data and /nsr/mm is the media index.

Again, RTFM Disaster Recovery Guide, this manual is quite clear about this procedure.

Cheers.

I appreciate the respose
