back up line

hello everybody, i have two line group , and i want assure a back up for calls, if group one lines are busy the call would be forwarded to a second group , can i make this , if yes, how

thanks a lot

What release is your system. It it is 4.0 and above you can use ARS. If it is below you can use LCR.

ARS/LCR is your key.
Put your backup lines in a different OLG (Outward line group) and use the above routing methods to fallback to your backup lines.

ACA - IP Office Implement
ACA - IP Telephony
ACS - IP Office Implement (Aug 30th)

my system is 3.2 and i want the backup to be automaticaly
i think that i can't do this with simple routing, help me

you have to use lcr in your case
main route is the normal line group
alternate group is for back up
so they have the same shortcodes but a different line id group

so if you have a shortcode like this

N
dial
N
line id 0

then the alternate shoul look like this

N
dial
N
line id 1

it is not that hard

ACA - Implement IP Office
ACA - Voice Services Management
