I mofified a job on Friday to run a failed job at 10.00 AM on friday morning. Then I forgot to change the schedule back to 23.59 PM after the job finished so that it would run as normal. So when I can in today, it was running again at 10.00 AM. Once the job finished, I changed the schedule back, but now it says the next run time is tomorrow at 23.59 when it should be tonight as the backup that was done this morning was Friday night's backup. I've tried messing around with the schedule as much a I can but it still insists that the next backup is tomorrow night. Can anybody help me out at all?

When re-running jobs that fail, the best bet is to change the day rather than the time, in another words reschedule to the SAME TIME but the day before.

This will remove any scheduling conflicts.

Thanks for the advice. So you're saying that if today's backup failed, reschedule it for yesterday? Then it'll automatically run because the run time is in the past?

I did manage to sort out my problem actually, it was because I forgot the select the date when I was repackaging it, i forgot to select the date, so it automatically selected the next date.

anyway, thanks for your reply

No probs. Yeah in the future if it fails, just rescheduled it for the day before, it'll then put itself for the right date/time when the re-run completes.
