Hello everyone:
Here is my problem. Every now and then the backup job on my Server2000 machine will fail. When I check the backup status in the morning, the backup will be stalled at 505KB (or so)and won't go any further. I will cancel the job and then will want to start it again. I used to be able to do this without a problem. Now when I do it, the tape is ejected and has its overwrite protection set to Infinite! So I have to put a different tape in the drive. I don't want to put the current tape into scratch media since I use one tape for Monday to Friday backups using append.
The daily tape set has 6 days overwrite and 10 days append.
I am using Veritas BackupExec 9.1 version 4691.

Hello,
I'm having problems with veritas 9.0.backup. I'm getting an error message "Initializing failure on shadow copy components" can someone help me with this problem?

Hello,

I believe I have a simmilar problem. I've noticed that some of the tapes in my daily media set have an overwrite period of Infinate, however the media set has an overwrite period of 12 days. Any solutions or help would be appreciated.
