I'm very new to Backup Exec v9 and right now I'm trying to test SQL restore in our testing area. Backup Exec server can see the SQL server along with each of the databases. My question is when I go restore Northwind Database it puts the remote back up account as the owner of the database not the "SA" like it was before I deleted the Database.

I guess I'm really getting confused on how Backup Exec handles different remote agents accounts to do backups.

Thanks in advance,

Mark

I'm not sure that it's an issue with Backup Exec. When I restore an SQL Server 2000 database, using SQL Server Enterprise Manager not BE, one of the required fields is the database owner. So, it looks to be a SQL Server issue that you must designate an owner when you restore. Just use SQL Server Enterprise Manager or TSQL via Query Analyzer to change the owner.
