Backup Exec 9.1

I know this is a can of worms but I can't resist... I am currently using Backup exec 9.1 and have a few servers that the backup fails with the error code 24623 Drive failure. I am using exabyte VXA-1 scsi drives and when I load the exatool.nlm the drives pass. I think nwtape is loading but not in front of a server right now but does anyone have any suggestions or experiences with this???? Have updated to latest and greatest build of backup exec and problem continues...

what build of BackupExec 9.1? have you updated or did you use shipping media? In my experience with BE, shipping media always had some stupid bug in it, have always downloaded currect build for installs. Also be sure you have updated your device drivers (also downloadable from Veritas).

I got desperate and updated the firmware on a drive and it started working, am going to try it on the other 17 and see what happens...
