Backup EXEC 9.1 services down

I am new to Veritas Backup EXEC 9.1.

There are several times that Veritas Backup EXEC 9.1 services were down after the Media Server reboot, and it was impossible to restart those services. So, I had to uninstall and re-install Veritas Backup EXEC 9.1 and all the media, device, backup jobs configurations were gone. It is very painful and miserable when this happens, that is, I have to manually setup all those settings in several hours.

Is there any quick fix for this? Thanks.
