I have 2 jobs that are currently linked together. One is a differential that runs M-T and the other is a Full that runs on Friday.
I am being asked to backup an additional database only on Fridays with the full backups. But when I go into the full job for Friday and select that database and save my changes the database is also selected in the Differencial backup for M-T and we don't want it to be.
Under the properties of both jobs on the selections tab the Selection list names for both jobs are the same. I am guessing that this is what I need to change but how can I get this field changed without re-creating the entire full backup job ? Assuming this is what needs to be done.
Creating a new job just for this database is not worth doing as it's not that large and should be part of this backup job.
If more info is needed let me know.
