Backup does not run after a restore

We have Server 2003 Standard Edition with Veritas 9.1 for Window Server. Also have Agent for MS SQL 2000 running.

I have a scheduled backup that runs each night, but the problem is if i run a restore during the day, it completes fine, but the scheduled backup does not run. It appears to try and start, but nothing happens. In the past i have just rebooted the server and then it works.

Any suggestion on what may be causing this or how i can fix it?

There is a know issue and its resolve by installing SP2 for Backup Exec
