Stupid sounding question here.
Is it possible to restore from .QIC files created by the backup program on Windows 9x using the backup software built into Windows 2K?

Don't think so - completely different apps and file formats.

Does anyone know of any W2K compatible backup software that will allow us to restore from a .QIC file?

Try Backup MyPC from Stomp found @ - There's a trial version available to download - worked for me under Windows 2000 (QIC file written in Win98). It's written by Veritas (or uses the Veritas Backup Exec Desktop engine) and looks and feels the same as MS Backup.
