Hello all,
Hope anyone can help me solving a slight issue when using Multilink PPP.
My network consists of 1 Central node and 2 remote nodes. The backup scheme proposed is using Multilink PPP.
-----LAN1---Central Rtr-----VPN CLOUD------Remote Site1
| | |
| | |2 modems
Access Server |
| |Remote Site 2
4 modems |
| 2 modems
Can any one suggest me if setting up PPP Multilink on either the remote site and central nodes whenever the VPN cloud fails? (BWY. Asynchronous interfaces will be used for the back-up scheme)
*** Any implications? CPU? Recommended IOS? Sample configs?
Access Server and Remote Nodes are Cisco 2600XM
*** One more thing, traffic will now be routed through the modems into the Central node, though how would a server located in LAN1 know the way back through the Access Server since static routing is used in the Central Router towards the VPN?
thank you all!
