Hello;

Should I allow the normal server backup process handle this? How is everyone else addressing this isuue?

Thanks

CowboyBilly

Dpeends upon what databsae is used by the server, make sure that the database is being backed up and not skipped because it's in use.

Otherwise it should be fine.

Hi,
Mainly be aware of what files may be in use and, depending on your backup method/software, make allowances for it..We backup at 3:00AM when no one should be using the system...

Our CMS is on a separate Oracle server and it is handled like all our Oracle instances ( export every night, cold backup every 2 weeks)..
