Backorder quantity is incorrect

I have an item that refuses to clear the amount on backorder even after doing the reindex of the required IM and OE files several times.

I have not tried the export-initialize and import of the various IM files.

Running the Reset Allocation process in I/M did not reset the backorder quantity field either.

Any other ideas or suggestions to clear these phantom order amounts or is it time to visit the DB and manually clear it, an option I rather not have to resort to?

My feeling is that it's a problem with one of the orders for that item. I'm finding two fields that get changed on the OEORDLIN_SQL table for a backorder. The qty_bkord and qty_bkord_fg fields. One of these may have a value when it shouldn't.

Also, when you run the reset allocations, do you check the box to reset inventory trx?

Yes, I check the reset box.

So I just ran it again and now the backorder is gone. But I forgot to check the item first to see if it was still there as I just realized that month end procedures were done over the past weekend.

Now I will have to wait until the next one shows up. I will work on Crystal report using those fields to see if I can find them before the users report the problem to me.

Thanks

I see another field called bkord_fg. How does this fit into the mix?

If I want to build a Crystal to look for the problems, which do you think is the problem field to key off of?

My guess is that since I have a numerical value displayed in the qty_bkord field, it is the qty_bkord_fg or bkord_fg field not having a value that causes the problem.

Right now, everything in those fields has a value so I can't test it. Maybe I need to go to our test data and remove the value in one of these and see what happens.

the bkord_fg field is from the item master that the item is backorderable or not. I think it's the qty_bkord_fg not having a value that could be the problem.
