Backing UP NW6.0

Hi guys,

We are running NW6.0 and this is my 1st time dealing with Netware. All my 8 years in the IT field, I had dealt with Unix and Microsoft stuffs only. Now, I have BE 8.6 running on this NW6.0 server. What do I need to backup? beside my data? In MS W2k, we backup the Info Storage(e2k) and the Sys State(AD stuffs). Is NW has something similar?

It depends. If you have only server Novell - you have to backup NDS. If there are more then one Novell server it is not so important. But anyway better you to backup.

what ds version? type m ds and rtn
how many servers?

you will get an option to backup ds through backup exec but to be truthful - i have never restored ds from a tape backup - only ever a partition or through a .nds or a dib
