Hello,
we are using Arcserve 2000 on our w2k domain to backup data. Recently we installed a w2k server with the program Microsoft Navision 3.70.
The installation of the software was done by another company.
Now I want to add this server to our backup strategy, including the Navision database. Has anybody got experience with backing up the Navision database?
Is it just copying the directory with the database to tape? Or do I need to stop Navision first, before I can access the database? I'm asking, because I don't want to experiment and then find out that I messed up the database... believe, they (the ones that entered hundreds and hundreds of records into Navision) will NOT be pleased with that!
Okay, I hope somebody can help me. Thanks in advance.
