Backing up exchange in windows backup

If you are using Windows backup in Small Business Server 2000, do you need a backup agent in order to backup individual mailboxes from Exchange?

And would you also need an open file add on for Windows backup in order to backup the priv.mdb file?

No, you can't add aditional agents to win bckup.
priv and pub.mdb don't need to be backed up => select the storage group is enough.

This will only backup the entire information store not the individual mailboxes. You will need a 3rd party backup application to backup individual mail boxes, something that offers brick level backup. I believe veritas offers this.
