Hi

We are running Networker 7.1 on a windows 2003 Serever. Is it possible to stop Networker backing up certain drives, e.g

on the server we have the following drives:

C:
D:
E:
F:
R:
G:

I don't want networker to back-up F: and R: drive when it runs it's daily schedule.

There are at least 3 ways of doing that:

#1: in the client definition, list only the drives you want to back up. The caveat of this method is that it won't get the "special" parts (system data, etc) which you probably do want to get.

#2: create a directive that excludes those drives, and make the client definiation use that directive
[tt]
<< "F:\" >>
+skip: *
<< "R:\" >>
+skip: *
[/tt]

#3: Create directive files at the roots of those drives containing [tt]"+skip: *"[/tt] I have to admit I don't know the name of that file on Windows, under unix it's ".nsr"

On Windows, local directives are saved in "nsr.dir" files. For example, search for such files in the ..\nsr\ path.
