I have a question about a Front end/Back End setup. Currently we are running one Exchange server (Exchange 2000) and plan to implement a front end server when we upgrade to 2003. My question is, can I install a front end server now and upgrade it on the day we upgrade our back end server? Or can I install a front end Exchange 2003 server to talk to my current Exchange 2000 server, thereby eliminating the need to upgrade two servers on the same day. Or should I wait until the upgrade is over and then implement the front end server?

Thanks very much

You could install them both now. It's what you do after you install them that matters (such as redirecting inbound traffic, etc).

Thanks very much for the information, Pat.
