Back up to partition ? 1

Hi there
Is it posible to partition a hard drive then install the os
plus all the main programs(PSP,Photoshop,scanner,printer,plus all the upgrades ect) to the main partition
and then back this up to the other partition so that when the main partition is formatted I can then install the whole lot in one go !?

I am using WinME on a 800 Athlon,512Mb with a 40Gb Drive

Norton Ghost will do the job - it can create an image of your installation (which you could save on another disk partition, or burn to CD). You can then use this image to re-build the original partition, or build on a new PC (assuming the same hardware config).
Often used by businesses to build multiple PCs - we upgraded 25 PC's from 95 to 98 in a morning using Ghost One by one, the penguins steal my sanity. X-)
