When running a full back up on exchange there is a message in the log file saying
The item \exchsrvr\dsadata\edb.log in use - skipped
This is also the case for dsadata\temp.edb, mdbdata\edb.log and mbddata\tmp.edb
Are these files not being backed up? I was under the impression that these files are where all the data is held?
Does this need to be rectified and if so is there a way that these files can be backed up?

Just as long as your Private Information Store and your Exchange Directory are selected for backup and they are getting backed up without errors you should be ok.

Just to add to what zoe has said, you dont infact need to back these up and I seem to remember a suggestion that you do not back them up. As zoe said just make sure you are backing up your Directory and Info Store.

Cheers
