AVG 7.0

I have updated to Grisoft's AVG version 7.0. It'd great but screwed up receipt of mail in 'MailWasher' and 'Outlook Express'. I did a system restore and reinstalled version 7.0 without the e-mail option and it's fine.
Has anyone any ideas what may be causing this conflict please? Thanks
