I have Windows XP installed with 2 hard drives (18GB & 40GB). I mainly use my computer for graphic design work (Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, Flash, Dreamweaver) email & web, and occasionally gaming. My computer is not connected to a network but is connected directly to the internet via cable modem. I still have stuck with FAT32 but am wondering if it is better to change to NTFS during a future reinstall.

I've heard both: that NTFS is more secure, stable, and reliable, but FAT32 is actually quicker.

Can anyone straighten me out?
Thanks

For a quick overview check out this site.

It is possible to convert your file system from FAT32 to NTFS without reformatting. Check out this article in the Help and Support program of XP "Choosing between NTFS, FAT, and FAT32".
