My upgrade file is located in my C:\firmware folder. I believe that I have everything set up correctly in the TFTP server, and have kept everything default, and with port 69. when typing the tftp-server command in the Avaya G3R, the TFTP log reports that it is unable to find the file. This pretty much proves that the G3R is set up correctly, it just can't find the file.

Any ideas?

Could it be a long file name problem ? Try a short dir. name.

I took your advice and placed the file in the C:\ drive. It still wasn't working, so I switched it to port 23, and it worked. I don't think that it is because of the port I'm using. I changed the port so that the TFTP server would realize that I was starting over. I was planning on using port 69, but it magically worked on port 23.

Thanks!

As mentioned above, I believe that this process would have worked with port 69, as well. However, I'm unable to determine why it is that I can upgrade the release 2.0 phones to 4.0, but haven't been able to figure out how to upgrade the 3.0 phone. After *36#, it comes back with the confirmation tone, and I'm feeling pretty warm and fuzzy until I realize that nothing has changed.....

Any ideas?
