Avaya SBC

Just wondering what everyone thinks of the Avaya SBC. Do you guys use it? Do you feel there is a need for it?

SBC are indeed a necessary security unit, just as firewall/router are.
But it works a bit different, more streamlined for voip traffic.

I've not tested the Avaya SBC, I find it a bit expensive compared to other brands.

If the sip provider has gone thru the devconnect certification process they are amazing and pretty easy to set up. If have have not it can take forever to get the settings right to even get a trunk up.
