Avaya phone "Terminal Barred"

Hello - can anyone help please?! My office phone gives the message "Terminal Barred" when I try to dial out. it is an Avaya 2030, I tried to contact their helpdesk and they were very UN helpful!! I can still receive calls... any ideas on how to unblock the phone? Changing the passcode does not work (manual on the web suggests pressing program, scroll twice and Pass to change pwd, but still gives msg "Terminal is Barred")Please help!!

Is this on an IP Office?

If this is an index you need to get somebody to go into programming and unlock your phone. It is barred because you have put an incorrect password 3 times.

This isnt an IPO is it? If it is do you have outgoing call bar checked under user/telephony?

Hi, yes I think that is what happened it is in an index..I basically pressed the wrong thing! I will see if somebody can unbarr it..thank you!
 
you will need to speak to whoever has programming access to the index

they need to go into your user settings
select personal staus, then select the option that says Locked

this will unlock the ext & reset the password to 0000
