We upgrades to R9
Apparently the phone manager is no longer supported and now all my receptionists are complaining about the lost functionality as now they only get the lite version. I installed the OneX portal but IMHO it wasn't worth the time it took to configure. It doesn't give the receptionists any more functionality the phone manager lite!! Can anyone tell me if there is ANY software out there that can do the same as the pro version of Phone Manager?

Hi telecomboy
I don't have any issues running the application..it works fine
My issue is that r9 no longer recognizes the pro licenses we paid for

You reseller should have told you to upgrade those licenses to Office Workers years ago (5 years or so), now you cannot upgrade them and stopped working in R9. You could buy softconsole (max. 4) or use One-X portal which is the "replacement" for PhoneManager.

Bas, phonemanager pro licenses will give office worker licenses.
You do not need to upgrade those licenses as it will happen anyway.
This happens from 6.0 and up.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

But only when they are "Phone Manager Pro (per seat)" if not it won't work.

Using Phone Manager Pro Licenses To Enable The Office Worker Profile
The IP Office Technical Bulletin 115 (General Availability (GA) of IP Office Release 6) states that for migration purposes, any existing Phone Manager Pro license can, when used on an IP Office upgrade to R6 enable the Office Worker functionality.
This only applies to Phone Manager Pro licenses that display under the licenses pane of the IP Office Manager application as ‘Phone Manager Pro (per seat)’. However an issue has been identified with this functionality and this currently does not work for any users, regardless of the number of instances allowed by the license.
Certain users may display within the Manager application as being ‘Office Workers’, depending upon what they were set to use prior to upgrading to IP Office Release 6. However, enabling validation of the configuration will display a warning message that the number of licenses has been exceeded. As a further indication of the issue, once these users have been changed to ‘Basic’ through the Manager application, they cannot then be set back to ‘Office Worker’.
Older Phone Manager Pro licenses (that display in Manager as ‘Phone Manager Pro’ only) do not enable any instances of the Office Worker profile.

I have done a lot of upgrades from below 6 to 8.x and all our customers have PMPro lics and never had a problem switching user profiles from basic to none and vice versa.
Some employees did not like One-X portal and want to use PMPro and then you must switch the profile from office worker to none. Once set to none it can be switched back to office worker and use One-X portal again.
The One-X protal is not close to the Phone Manager as a replacement, I have not seen any piece of software which comes close to it.
To be honest I can't see why Avaya took out the PMPro config pages in Manager 9. Although it is not supported anymore they should ( must ) give the customer the change to use it on their own risk and without any support, they bought the licenses once for a lot of money.
Shame on Avaya...
