Does anyone have instructions on how to set up remote notifacation on a merlin messaging voice mail system
Customer wants voice mail to call cell phones when they receive messages in mail box.
You must allow the "Outcalling" feature for the mailbox, from the System Administrator's mailbox. On a Merlin Mail or an 007MLM, that is through "class of service"; on a Merlin Messaging, it is simply one of the parameters under mailbox administration.
Once the feature is allowed, the user logs into their own mailbox, and option 6 is Outcalling. From there, 1 turns it on and off, 2 plays the outcalling number list, 3 has instructions for inputting the outcalling numbers, and 4 is where you go to actually enter the outcalling numbers. Up to 5 different numbers, remember to including the leading "9". Also options for schedule, cycles, and time between attempts.
Get the actual version of the voice mail ("Welcome to Merlin Mail/Welcome to Merlin Messaging") and I can give you the actual specific steps.
