Well, it took less than 24 hours since I posted about the J100 phones which were not supposed to require a two-stage upgrade ever again and Avaya made a liar out of me. See PSN020401.
For anyone who has time Monday morning (or wants to send out some e-mails to their Avaya reps this weekend) I would ask you to contact Avaya and request GRP3REQ-14967 be implemented.
I asked Avaya to add support for the $APPNAME variable similar to the older 9600 series phones and was turned down. Avaya stated the J100 Release 1.5 stock was out and the phones would no longer require a two-step process so the GRP request was denied.
Not acceptable in my opinion.
