Hi All,

Have an IP Office customer with Voicemail Pro at R8.0 who has UMS Exchange (exchange 2010) set up and is having issues (9/10 times) accessing voicemails through visual voicemail. The light on the phone comes on and the message is delivered to their email inbox and they can also access voicemail through TUI (*17) but when accessing the voicemail through visual voicemail I can get into the menu-> go to new messages-> open the new messages, but when they go to play the message all they hear is a beep. Once the message is played via the email they can then go back to the "old" message in visual voicemail and they are then able to hear the actual recorded message.

Avaya is saying this is a network issue and want to charge over $300 per hour without giving me more info on where to start looking to fix the problem.

Anyone seen this or does anyone have good ideas of where to start? Anything would help... customer is frustrated (so am I) :)

Which version 8.0 are you running?
Did you try an upgrade to the latest version?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

VM Pro is 8.0.1011 and the IPO is a 500v2 at 8.0.43

I have an older version of Outlook for MAPI on the VM Pro server (03) and most users have 07 or 10 for Outlook and 2010 Exchange server... wondering if that has any effect..?

Try the latest 8.0 version.
Maybe this solves it?

Having similiar problems with Visual Voicemail. Were you able to resolve yours? I'm 8.0 (46) VMPro 8.0 (2003). Exchange 2010

No, unfortunately. Continue to work with Avaya support running a million Sysmon traces and debugs. I will post on here if I figure something out.

I realized it you hit the Message button to get to visual voicemail and it first comes up and "busy" it will work and if it immediately comes up with 1/0/0, etc if does not. Which means nothing other than it requires a fresh connection to play the files.
