Dear All,

I have this request from my client that one of his ext. 900 should not be reached by anyone except 2 extensions 901 and 902.
Also if anyone will try making a call(internal or external) to ext.900 it should be forwarded directly to 901 or 902 extn.
Tried to apply DND on Ext 9oo with exception for 901 and 902 but due to unconditional call forwarding from 900 to 901 and 902 i don't want a loop to be created when 901 or 902 tries to call 900.

Please bare with the typological errors if any.

Thank you.

Quick Response will be appreciated. :) :p

Regards/SJ

We had this same scenario with our Shoretel system a few years ago and they said it couldn't be done. Avaya systems seem more flexible, so I'll be interested to see how this is answered!

But a button on 901/902 dial physical extension by number. It will ring the extension, regardless of what forwarding, etc is on the user. Have them use that to dial 900.

Renumber the phone from 900 to 9001, create a group 900 with the name of the user of phone 900 and add 901 and 902 as members of that group.
In the user shortcodes of 901 and 902 you create a shortcode like #900,9001,Dial Extension,0 or if it are digital sets progam a user button for extn 9001.

@intrigrant: thanks but will this make 900 unreachable for other extensions and external calls (i.e direct extension from auto attendant too).
Thanks

You said you wanted calls to 900 to go directly to 901/902. That is what that will accomplish.

Or you could try what I said. Leave your unconditional call forwarding on to a group with 901/902 in it, and just make a dial by physical extension button for 900 on 901 and 902's phone. If they are the only ones that need to call 900, it should be fine.
