Hi Folks,

Need your expertize for below issue.

We have a site with 2 Gateways (G450 and G430 with EM200). Both registers to the Main CM in head office. G450 works fine with no issues but G430 goes unregistered around midnight between (11pm - 12am) every other day or sometime twice a week. I can still ping and ssh the gateway when it is unregistered. I have either manually reset gateway asking local IT to unplug and plug in the power cable or i can reset is using SSH to gateway to register it back to the CM.No power outage or network issue reported at the site duing this time.

We have already replaced the gateway twice and changed the power source to other rack but the issue is still not resolved.

Can anyone please suggest a solution or next steps to troubleshoot this issue. Many Thanks.

Did you upgrade any RAM cards or add a RAM to slot #2 prior? Do a Command: Show platform mainboard and check for faults and verify unknown on Socket #2.

Also what firmware version are you on? I believe 36.22 is the latest.

Thanks Saiyan for replying. we haven't upgraded any RAM cards and G430 is currently running on Version 37.39.0. Shows no faults on Socket 1 and Socket 2 shows UNKNOWN.

try another network switch connection, sounds like you may have a flaky one there, worth a try

First thing - do they have a mg-recovery-rule administered to these gateway? That could be keeping to from coming back.

What's going on every night at 11pm-12am? Could you PCAP the media gateway port and see if the connection is getting latent or laggy? It could potentially be an issue where local backups are running and the gateway loses the QoS battle.

Yes Joe sounds like an SSH connection. Does the G450 or G430 have an LSP? I would switch ports and IP config on gateways to see if trouble follows. Show run and default gateway rebuild with new IP's and swap network ports(switch G450 IP and port with G430 IP and port). No DSP daughter card was install in g430 as well, correct?
