Hello, sorry for my ignorance but I got tagged with this at work. We have an an old (20+) Avaya Definity G3 that has existing T1/PRI connections and are preparing to decommission it soon. We have already installed a VoIP system and they are running in tandem at this time. I have learned enough to become dangerous and have been doing basic commands related to extensions and monitoring the system. With that said anything more is out of my scope. I have one question.

Can the switch be set to forward all incoming calls to our new 800 number associated with the new VoIP system? We would like to leave it in this state for a month or so before we turn it off.

If yes, can someone point me to a reference document that gives the command structure, I don't have a Avaya login for any support sites. We really want to pay for a tech visit if we don't have to.

Any assistance with this or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance :)

Yeah.

Change system features and make sure trunk to trunk transfer is allowed.

If your PRI is trunk group 1, you can probably change trunk 1 and there's some pages for digit conversion for incoming calls. Match what's coming in, delete it all, route to 9-1800...

Just make sure the COR of your trunk has a FRL that is high enough to route. If you list ars route-chosen 1800... you'll see what route it picks and what the FRL would be.
