Hi,
Can somebody help?
Avaya B189/179 coverage? i mean at what distance from conference phone user can hear the conference call clearly?
With extended speaker how much area it covers? Or can somebody point a document to check the specification related to coverage.

The B189 is good for "small" or "medium" conference rooms. According to the general document the B189 has a 20-foot radius. The closer participants are to the phone the easier it will be to hear or for the microphone to pick up their voice. My general experience is that yes, 20 feet works but only just barely. The microphones are good, but not *THAT* good.

External microphones will extend the "good quality" range closer to that 20-foot mark. So if you have a 20-foot long conference table with the B189 in the center with two external mics stretched toward the far ends, everyone should be heard pretty clearly. But if you have a 20-foot radius round table with the phone in the middle then most everyone will just sound "far away".

What constitutes "good quality" is rather subjective.

I hope that helps.

Also check out the B199 if you want to cover a larger area.
