We're trying to run a restore from a previous backup tape in order to recover a login id and the reports associated with it. Before trying this we were advised to make a new cmsadm backup tape. We'd turned data collection off and changed from multiuser to singleuser to start with. We found that the restore function was not listed on the server as is backup. To run a restore we had to go in through CentreVu Supervisor 9.0 but now our only choice was the most recent backup and not the earlier one that had the login id information we wanted. Has anyone had any experience with this type of restore? Can someone provide help with restoring from a less than the most recent backup tape?
